As you read this, I will be somewhere on a four-state, whirlwind tour: Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Green Bay, Wisconsin and back.
God willing, I will be back-in-battery sometime Saturday.
I am NOT looking forward to driving through Chicago. Toll roads: Ugh!
It is about an 800 mile, round-trip.
Be careful and have a great time. Be Safe.
ReplyDeleteBe careful/ Goin to Michigan
ReplyDeleteMutually exclusive endeavors
dude, he lives in Michigan
DeleteChicongo?! Better bring your Smith & Wesson!
ReplyDeleteAnd under 430 ILCS 66§40(e), non-residents traveling across Illinois can stay strapped.
DeleteJust need to drive straight through, no stops.
DeleteIIRC, non-Illini need to have a carry permit from wherever and keep the peacemaker locked up IN THE VEHICLE when you're not in the vehicle. IOW, your right to armed self defense in IL doesn't extend outside your vehicle.
For entertainment, live in WI and call the security underling at your kid's college in KY and ask about CCW to the commencement. I never did get an unambiguous answer.
Where in Illinois???????
ReplyDeleteJust passing through. I-294 to 94 south-to-north and then 1-94 to I-294 in reverse. I thought about you everytime I saw a sign saying "Rockford".
DeleteAlso thought about The Next Chapter (blogger) when I saw the signs for signs for Waukegan.
Call me...you will pass close to my AO. I'll buy a meal maybe....
ReplyDeleteSafe travels ERJ!
ReplyDeleteI'd rather drive through Atlanta during rush hour than Chicago at any time.
ReplyDeleteDidn't want to take the ferry across Lake Michigan?
ReplyDeleteTakes longer. Pricing on the ferry is pretty steep.
